Aw crap. Byes are horrible.
I'm back in Jo burg airport at the same old Mugg and Bean. I had the best weekend at the rock lodge with about 30 others from the expat family. We went hiking and swimming and braaiing. We watched the sunset on top of a rock with the view of mountains and valleys. It was HOT and there was a lot of hiking and carrying of stuff to do. My calves still ache, and I know I'm not the only one walking like an old lady this morning!! It was a great time with campfire singing until the early hours. Can I get a toot toot? Can I get a beep beep? Turns out Alex and Jenna, the new Techno servers can play R Kelly and other stuff the guitar and sing really well. Missed big Joe and Chiara though.
The social side of Swaziland is amazing. There are so many really lovely people and I know that is what I'm really going to miss, even more than the mountains and the siSwati. It's always the people!!! These ones are doing interesting things, interested in global issues, intelligent and compassionate. I know I always hang out with these kind of people, but to find so many all in one place - awesome! ;o)
This photo is of Tao, Nick, Alison, me an Laura watching the sun go down. Amazing times. Fantastic people.
