Back to reality

So, I've been back almost a week and reality has set in. Boo. Reality is over rated. It turns out skim reading a book on management was not quite enough. I received my first letter of resignation yesterday. :o( I'm not taking it personally though - she did say she was grateful for the opportunities we have her and for all that she had learnt. That's a good thing. If we are here for capacity building then that's a achievement that she developed far enough to get another better paid job. Well done me!! (Taking looking on the bright side very seriously these days!)

On the plus side the project is really developing. We have trained about 60% of all the people we have to train. That's about 2300 people. No small achievement. In addition we are following them all up in the communities and they are really doing what we are asking. Children are being found and referred to the clinics for malnutrition before they get super sick. Communities are hearing about malnutrition and how to avoid it. The people we have trained are doing a great job. I only hope it continues!!

Now, for the photos I promised, this is my family baking bread. Impossibly cute nieces centre stage.
