Computers.

Here's the thing. I am not a computer person. Not for work anyway - before this malarkey I was a nurse running around a crazy busy ward. The most I ever concentrated on was a 20 minute dressing change with a child shouting in my ear. Now I have to concentrate from 7am to 6pm with an hour off for lunch. It's going to take some getting used to. Let's be honest - I'm not brilliant at it. Having said that, this is the beginning of week three and I'm beginning to be able to to look back and see that I've achieved some things.. It's a good feeling! I have myself a survey design and a questionnaire - with an analysis template in excel. Oo-er! Get me!

I was saying to a good friend on email though - although it's a bit dull, I think it has to be done. If you are serious about changing things at a level where change for the good is sustainable for any large number of people - to some extent you have to be behind a computer and meeting people trying to make them see things your way. If you are here for the people, and not for a 'life changing experience' then things have to be this way. I like my life as it is thanks - I just don't like how other people's lives are. People shouldn't have to suffer because they are denied things that are a human right - like the right to food. Is it possible to express these things without sounding like a silly arse? I'm not even sure. It's what I think though, and if that makes me a silly arse then so be it.

Nice tree isn't it. It's in Milwane - a nature reserve where you can cycle around - around zebras and buffalo etc. No Lions though - don't worry Mum! There's also lots of beautiful birds. We have bought a book so we can know what we are looking at.
